  • i think sometimes we forget that gojo is equally as affected by trauma as geto is. more often than not, i see people empathize more with geto and it makes sense because we witnessed his downward spiral during the spv arc (hidden inventory arc), we were with him when he left. geto is humanized and gojo, while equally as loved, is infallible and “doing okay” because he’s funny and flippant. he’s the singular, the strongest.

but geto had a family, a support system. he wasn’t outright honest with them and he had to wear a “mask” for the most part (especially around mimiko and nanako, who he had to be strong for), but he had them, nevertheless, and he involved them in his plans, in his thoughts.

gojo completely shut out after geto left. he moves alone and he’s better like that, but who did he share his thoughts with? his feelings? his vulnerability? he’s a walking bag of trauma and if anybody needs all-encompassing love in jjk, it’s him.

(everyone, of course, but especially gojo.)

  • ''bkdk is abusive waaaahhh''

Oh grow up. Bakugou has more character development in one chapter than you've had in your entire life. These two idiots are so obssessed with each other that even the villains have noticed it. Just admit that what really bothers you is that it's a queer ship. I don't see anyone call Bakugou "abusive" when you ship him with Ochako of all people despite barely interacting with her. People are always trying to find sth wrong with queer ships, especially when they are the most popular in a fandom, to use as an excuse to attack queer fans. Bkdk is more canon than any of your straight crackships. Horikoshi is basically writing a BL at this point

  • this whole oceangate submarine fiasco has actually led to a lot of interesting talks and debates about the grey area of human empathy vs the inclination to recoil at the bizarre behaviors of the ultra wealthy and how people struggle with both ideas and is actually very interesting to watch play out in different types of people
